Who I am

This site belongs to Apten Studio, a sole proprietorship. I’m responsible for what happens to your data. Questions about privacy? Email hallo@aptenstudio.com.

What the contact form collects

When you fill in the form, I receive your name, your email address, your company name if you add it, your message, the language and page you sent it from, and the time.

I only use this to answer your message and, if you ask for one, to make you a proposal. The legal basis is Article 6(1)⁠(b) GDPR: steps you ask for before any agreement exists.

Filling it in is voluntary, but without an email address I can’t reply.

Who receives it

Your message is only sent to my own mailbox. There is no database: my mailbox is the only record.

• Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH, servers in the EU.
• Email: the provider that hosts my mailbox, under a data processing agreement.
• I don’t sell or share your data with anyone.

How long I keep things

• Messages sent through the form: at most 12 months after the last contact, unless it leads to an assignment. Then the statutory 7-year tax retention period applies.
• Server logs: replaced automatically, at most 30 MB in total. They contain no names, messages, email addresses or IP addresses.
• Data used to limit abuse of the form: at most an hour in memory, then it’s gone.

Statistics

This site doesn’t collect visitor statistics.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies. Only your choice to pause animations is stored in your browser (localStorage), so it sticks.

I make no automated decisions about you based on your data.

Your rights

You can access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and take it with you. Email hallo@aptenstudio.com; I reply within a month.

Not happy with how I handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
